Chathurga Karunanayake is a Research Assistant at IPS with research interests in Behavioural Economics, Labour Economics, Infrastructure Development and Regulatory Governance. She holds a BA in Economics (Honours) majoring in Trade and Industry from the University of Colombo, where she authored a thesis on “Genesis of Decorative Consumption” and introduced the novel concept of ‘Decorative Consumption’ to the jargon of Economics. She is a Guest Lecturer on Consumer Behaviour and Luxury Consumption Patterns. She also holds a DipLCM from University of West London, UK.
