This project aims to collect data for the Doing Good Index 2024 study by the Center for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS). CAPS is an action-oriented research and advisory organization committed to improving the quantity and quality of private social investment in Asia. The DGI 2024 includes two sets of surveys; namely surveys for local experts (“expert questionnaire”) and social delivery organizations (“SDO survey”).
By creating the Doing Good Index™, CAPS seeks to examine 18 economies in Asia to cast a light on the policies and best practices that enable the domestic charitable sectors in each of these economies to thrive. The analysis, conducted in collaboration with the IPS, will focus on the regulations, tax policies, procurement and environmental factors that drive homegrown philanthropy in the country.
