Bilesha Weeraratne Discusses Rights of Female Migrants

Sri Lanka has taken several important steps to protect the rights of migrant workers, especially female domestic workers, and one such important measure the pre-departure training provided by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE), noted IPS Research Fellow, Bilesha Weeraratne.

She was discussing migrant women’s rights and the ways to protect them against abuse and other violations on ‘Face the Nation’ (FTN), broadcast over TV1 (formerly MTV Sports), on 09 July 2018.
