WEF Transformation Map for Sri Lanka, Developed by IPS Researchers, Now Online

10 November 2017

A team of researchers from IPS developed a Transformation Map for Sri Lanka for the World Economic Forum (WEF). The platform identified seven thematic areas of economic transformation vital for the overall growth of the country’s economy and also cross-links to thematic areas of interest at the WEF. These include equitable growth, productive agriculture, skilled employment, digital transformation, institutional reforms and good governance, reconciliation, and export competitiveness.

The Transformation Map also acts as a platform for stakeholders of the WEF, from the public and private sector, to identify potential areas of interest and engage on issues pertinent to Sri Lanka.

The page was officially presented to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos this year.
