The First India-Commonwealth SME Trade Summit

IPS Executive Director, Dr. Saman Kelegama, made a presentation on ‘Opportunities for Intra-Commonwealth Trade’ at the High Level Panel on Opportunities in Intra-Commonwealth Trade at the first India-Commonwealth SME Trade Summit, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India and India-Commonwealth SME Association (ICSA), on 30-31 May 2017, in New Delhi, India.

The session discussed issues such as the potential of trade in services in the Commonwealth, how facilitating trade in services help in deepening intra-Commonwealth trade, and the role Commonwealth members can play in revising services negotiations at the World Trade Organization (WTO).
