Sri Lanka Single Window: Informing the Roadmap Development Process through Public-Private Dialogues

The government of Sri Lanka has committed to establish a Single Window as a national priority in line with fulfilling its obligation under the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. The objective of the Single Window is to set up a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge information and documents with a single entry point to full all trade related regulatory requirements. In the context of the EU Sri Lanka Trade Related Assistance project, the International Trade Centre (ITC) in coordination with the National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) is organizing four public-private consultations to exchange views and seek recommendations from stakeholders on key topics in relation to the establishment of the National Single Window. The recommendations from the consultations will be shared with the NTFC and the World Bank which is involved in the development of a Single Window Blueprint that will formulate recommendations for consideration by the Government of Sri Lanka.
