South Asia Economic Conclave

IPS Executive Director, Dr. Saman Kelegama was a panelist at the session on “Expanding Intraregional Trade: Drawing Lessons from ASEAN and NAFTA” at the South Asia Economic Conclave (SAEC) organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries and the Government of India.

The panel included many distinguished economists including Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Advisor to the Ministry of Finance of Government of India, Harsha Vardan Singh, former Deputy Director General to the WTO, and Jayant Menon, Lead Economist, Asian Development Bank. The two day Conclave, sponsored by the World Bank, took place at the Lalith Hotel in New Delhi, India.
