Chathurrdhika is a Research Assistant working on macro and trade policy research at IPS.  She holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Technology and Management, specialised in Applied Economics and Business Management (First Class) from the University of Peradeniya.

During her undergraduate studies, she was offered the GRIESHMA scholarship to follow an internship at IIT Madras in India. She represented Sri Lanka at the 18th International Students Summit on Food, Agriculture and Environment in the New Century at the Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan. She also participated in the Rural Immersion Programme conducted by the Thiyagarajar School of Management, Madurai, India.

Chathurrdhika was awarded the T. Jogarathnam Gold Medal for the Best Performance in Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Gold Medal for the best performance in Agricultural Economics and Business Management in the Core Programme of the Agricultural Technology and Management Degree, and Gold Medal for the most outstanding performance in Agricultural Economics and Business Management during her undergraduate studies.

Further, she was awarded the University Prize for Academic Excellence at the Final Examinations and Faculty Awards from the University of Peradeniya.

Chathurrdhika was a Temporary Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management, University of Peradeniya. She is currently reading for her Master’s in Agricultural Economics at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, Peradeniya.
