
Regional Cooperation Crucial to Achieve SDGs – Dr Ganga Tilakaratna

IPS Research Fellow, Dr Ganga Tilakaratna, highlighted the importance of regional cooperation to achieve SDGs in Sri Lanka at the Fifth South Asia Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals (SAFS) on ‘Building back better from COVID-19 while accelerating the implementation of the SDGs in South and South-West Asia’ held at the Temple Trees in Colombo on 15-16 November 2021.
At the panel discussion, Dr Tilakaratna noted that the South Asia Network on the Sustainable Development Goals (SANS) Network can play an important role in fostering greater subregional cooperation to accelerate SDG achievement by sharing good practices on sustainable development, supporting generation of knowledge products and building capacity, and acting as a knowledge sharing platform among all stakeholders in South Asia.
