Project Launch – Addressing Context-specific Barriers to Female Labour Force Participation in Decent Work: A Multi-country, Mixed-methods, Gender-sensitive Analysis

09 February 2022

A project on ‘Addressing Context-specific Barriers to Female Labour Force Participation in Decent Work: A Multi-country, Mixed-methods, Gender-sensitive Analysis’ funded by Co-Impact’s Gender-Fund and managed by the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) was launched virtually. IPS’ Dr Nisha Arunatilake, as the research leader, explained the objectives of the project and the analytical framework to the leaders of the country teams. The project will use a mix of methods to better understand how attitudes, social contexts, and social infrastructure influence female access to decent work, and use those findings to recommend policies to improve labour market conditions for females.
