Climate change is among the shocks that farming households must face in Sri Lanka. However, the effect of climate change on household vulnerability and the factors affecting farmer’s adoption decisions has not been evaluated sufficiently in Sri Lanka. This study, therefore, aims at filling this gap in knowledge. The study’s overall objective is to understand the impact of climate change on farm household’s livelihoods in the Dry Zone of Sri Lanka. The study also analyses the farmers’ perception of climate change and adaptation strategies/ coping mechanisms and barriers for adaptation.
