National Technical Workshop on the formulation of the National Human Resources and Employment Policy
National Technical Workshop on the formulation of the National Human Resources and Employment Policy organized by the Secretariat for Senior Ministers and the International Labour Organization (ILO) took place at Hotel Taj Samudra, 13-14 October, 2011.
Dr. Saman Kelegama, Executive Director, IPS, chaired a session on “Promoting Productive Employment and Decent Work for All: Global Perspectives”. Dr. Dushni Weerakoon, Deputy Director, IPS, made a presentation on “Macroeconomic Policy for Full and Productive Employment and Decent Work for All”. The session was chaired by Prof. W.D. Lakshman, Chairman, IPS. Dr. Nisha Arunatilake, Research Fellow, IPS, made a presentation on “Human Resources Planning, Development, Management and Productivity”.
The IPS made a contribution to the preparation of this policy document. The website of the National Human Resources and Employment Policy was launched at the event by Senior Ministers of the government.
