This study aims to examine the support mechanisms and reintegration programmes offered to returnee migrant workers by the Sri Lankan government during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic crisis in Sri Lanka. Using secondary sources, this study will analyse the institutional structure and its capacity to handle such multiple crises and will provide recommendations and the way forward to ensure preparedness for future domestic and global crises.
