Mobilising Resources for a Green New Deal: Partnerships in Asia for a Decade of Action in the Era of Coronavirus

This study aims to assist countries in linking financial policies with industrial policies to support economic transformation and recovery, preventing what could be “another lost decade” following the shock of COVID-19. Focusing on two sectors in Sri Lanka: electric vehicle (EV) batteries and textiles, the study will assess the feasibility and necessary industrial policy framework for Sri Lanka to integrate into the regional EV battery value chain at the ASEAN level. Additionally, it will explore how to shift the textile industry towards more sustainable practices, particularly regarding the use of synthetic raw materials.
