
Conference on “Unleashing South Asia: Connectivity, Sub Regional Initiatives, Energy and Investment Protection”

The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized a conference on “Unleashing South Asia: Connectivity, sub regional initiatives, energy and investment protection” on the 24th of September in Mumbai, India. The prime objective of the conference was to exchange views on issues and challenges faced by South Asia in these areas, which can help unleash potential of South Asia.
The conference was addressed by renowned experts on the subject matter and invited discussion was encouraged from public and private sector representatives to create an action-plan and set of policy suggestions for onward submission to the SAARC Secretariat, especially forthe 19th SAARC Summit to be held later this year. During the session, public and private sector stakeholders, along with academics, discussed issues pertaining to regional connectivity and energy and investment protection.
