Keynote Address at the 5th Annual Sessions of the Institute of Applied Statistics of Sri Lanka, OPA Auditorium

IPS Executive Director, Dr Saman Kelegama delivered the keynote address on the topic: “Relevance of Statistics for the Socio-Economic Development of a Country” at the 5th Annual Sessions of the Institute of Applied Statistics of Sri Lanka.

The Session was combined with the AGM of the Institute and was held at the OPA Auditorium on 20th December 2016. Dr. R. H. S. Samaratunge, Secretary to the Treasury graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Rupika Abeynayake, President of the Institute of Applied Statistics presented the latest copy of the Journal of the Institute to the keynote speaker at the occasion.
