
IPS Researchers Attend the South Asia Forum on SDGs and the Policy Dialogue on South Asian Cooperation for SDGs

IPS Research Fellows, Ganga Tilakaratna and Athula Senaratne, were panelists at the Third South Asia Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Second Policy Dialogue on South Asian Cooperation for SDGs, organised by UNESCAP on 08 – 10 December 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The South Asia SDGs Forum aimed to enhance awareness and understanding on key challenges and opportunities for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Regional Roadmap, to support and complement the sub regional agenda through sharing of experiences and knowledge among the countries.
The Policy Dialogue intended to foster regional cooperation and integration modalities to achieve the SDGs in South Asia.
Both events were attended by government officials in South Asia, representatives of regional organisations, the private sector, civil society organisations, and experts from think tanks and academia.
