IPS Research Fellow Participates in the First GLWC Research Network Workshop

IPS Research Fellow, Manoj Thibbotuwawa, participated in the first Global Living Wage Coalition (GLWC) Research Network Workshop, held at the Head Quarters of Social Accountability International in New York, on 07 – 09 August 2019.

While reviewing the experiences with the Sri Lankan case study on Living Wage for the Tea Sector, Dr. Thibbotuwawa highlighted the importance of working jointly with all the stakeholders in tea value chain to ensure a living wage for the tea-pluckers.

Run by Richard and Martha Anker, this workshop reviewed numerous aspects of the Anker Living Wage Methodology and shared insight and learnings from the field amongst a larger group of practitioners coming from Asia, Africa, and South America.
