As a key component of the on-going research on “Intersectoral Action for Health in addressing Social Determinants of Health through Public Policies in Sri Lanka: Health in All Policies (HiAP),” a round table discussion on “Public Policies and their impact on Health: Health in All Policies (HiAP)” was organized and funded by IPS. The main objectives of this discussion were to gain an understanding about the current health related policy formulation processes of the different ministries; policies of directorates which have an impact on health; and the mechanism used to assess the impact of these ministries/directorates on health. The forum expected to improve the interactions between the IPS and Government officials.
