The study will facilitate key stakeholders across the apparel value chain in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, to undertake evidence-based policy decisions and operational measures for ensuring medium-term recovery in view of the COVID-crisis. More specifically, the study will–
a) Enrich knowledge as regards medium-term challenges facing the apparels industry and the required support measures under value chain framework;
b) Enhance understanding of relevant stakeholders about status of progress of ongoing global initiatives, and alternate policy responses and measures evidenced in different countries and contexts;
c) Inform policy options and operational measures for key stakeholders across the value chain particularly those in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
