
Global Challenges Research Fund Forum addresses the Role of Gender in South Asian Food Systems

IPS Research Fellow and Head of Agricultural Policy Research, Manoj Thibbotuwawa, attended the Global Challenge Research Fund Forum on the Role of Gender in South Asian Food Systems, organised by United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI), on 23 – 24 February 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dr. Thibbotuwawa discussed how technological advances could lead to widen the gender gap in climate resilience and the importance of training and capacity building in addressing this issue when it comes to improving South Asian food systems.
This workshop was designed to bring together South Asian researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, and civil society members across a broad spectrum of fields, including those working on South Asian food systems and gender.
