Gender Impact of Migration Policies

This paper aims to analyze the influence of different rules and regulations in Sri Lanka on migration, in their efforts to and implications in integrating gender perspectives to migration issues.  The three regulations focused in this study are the restriction on the maximum chargeable amounts that agents can collect for recruiting migrant workers, mandatory pre-departure training for migrants, and the Family Background Report (FBR) requirement.
