IPS Executive Director, Dr. Saman Kelegama was the keynote speaker at the EFC Employees Symposium 2015 – “The Balancing Act”, organized by the Employees Federation of Ceylon at Water’s Edge, Battaramulla, on 22nd October 2015.

Delivering the keynote address under the theme “Compensation & Benefits”, Dr. Kelegama highlighted the need for corporates to understand the balance between compensation and competitiveness in order to be on par with industry players.

The Symposium highlighted challenges and equitable considerations / best practices that need attention when making decisions in relation to the formulation of remuneration packages affecting employees at all levels. Representatives from the private sector, senior government officials and academics were among the participants at the event.
