Dr Nisha Arunatilake Appointed as Research Fellow Co-representative for the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP)

Dr Nisha Arunatilake, Director of Research, IPS has been appointed as the new Research Fellow co-representative for the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), joining Dr Christian Emini, PEP Research Fellow, Resource Person – Macro/Modeling Group, Policy Outreach Advisor in this role. This appointment marks a significant step in recognising Dr Arunatilake’s outstanding contributions to PEP and her dedication to the field of economic policy and research.

Dr Arunatilake is currently leading a major and highly successful PEP research programme focusing on “Addressing context-specific barriers to women’s participation in decent work.” Her dynamic leadership and commitment to this programme have been instrumental in its success, highlighting her passion for addressing critical issues related to gender and economic policy. In her new role, Dr Arunatilake will succeed Ana Lucia Kassouf, the outgoing Research Fellow co-representative who is a Full Professor, at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
