Dr Manoj Thibbotuwawa Highlights Importance of Youth Involvement in Agriculture

Dr Manoj Thibbotuwawa, Research Fellow at IPS highlighted the importance of youth involvement in agriculture at the discussion on “Transforming food systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” organised by Wisdom Plus in celebration of UN International Youth Day 2021. He noted that modernising agriculture with technological innovations is needed to attract youth into the field of agriculture. He further emphasised that such technological innovations should cause no or minimum damages to the environment.
