Discussion with EU Parliamentary Delegation on GSP-Plus – Ministry of Strategic Development and International Trade Auditorium

IPS Executive Director, Dr. Saman Kelegama briefed the EU Parliamentary delegation on the progress that has been made since the submission of the Sri Lankan application to regain GSP-Plus scheme. The areas of focus in the intervention were environmental safeguards taken in export production and labour issues in the Export Processing Zones.

The meeting was chaired by the Hon. Sujeewa Senasinghe, State Minister of Strategic Development and International Trade, and many officials from the Ministry, BOI, EDB, and other relevant organizations participated from the Sri Lankan side.
