The research study uses the 2012 Population and Housing Data to conduct labour market analysis that are not possible with the Labour Force Survey (LFS) of Sri Lanka. The study focuses on four areas. First it assesses the labour market for individuals with physical or mental difficulties. Second the study examines the prevalence of human resources in Science and Technology. Third and fourth it looks at the District Secretariat level differences in labour force participation and unemployment of individuals.
