The research study uses the 2012 Population and Housing Data to conduct labour market analysis that are not possible with the Labour Force Survey (LFS) of Sri Lanka. The study focuses on four areas. First, it assesses the labour market for individuals with physical or mental difficulties. Second, the study examines the prevalence of human resources in Science and Technology. Third and fourth, it looks at the District Secretariat level differences in labour force participation and unemployment of individuals.
