The CLIMATEnet is a virtual network (www.ips.lk/climatenet/) launched by IPS for monitoring, information sharing and experience exchange on climate change. It will act as a catalyst for coordinated action by relevant stakeholders and a breeding ground for innovative ideas while overseeing that the national agenda set by the project will be adopted and evolved gradually over the process. Its main focus is on the South Asia region with particular attention to Sri Lanka. It is also open to views and ideas on climate change policies from anywhere in the world that can make a useful contribution to the dialogue. The CLIMATEnet objectives are to create a dialogue on different aspects of climate change policy, to build up a fruitful collaboration with professionals from all relevant disciplines on a basis of mutual benefit and cooperation and to improve its outreach to various stakeholders and build linkages necessary for a productive policy dialogue. As part of this, CLIMATEnet blog was also launched.
