The proposed training aims to capacitate Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) officers to confidently conduct and institutionalise independent research on migration-related issues within the SLBFE. By the end of the training, the participants will have the capacity to:
- Identify knowledge gaps relevant to the needs of policymakers and implementers.
- Handle research administration, including conceptualising research proposals, developing terms of reference, engaging external services when necessary, conducting independent research, and monitoring and reviewing project deliverables.
- Independently conduct medium-scale research, either individually or as part of a group.
- Effectively communicate research findings through position papers, policy briefs, presentations, and other knowledge-sharing methods.
