
Annual Research Forum and International Conference on Maternal and Child Nutrition, Peradeniya and Colombo
IPS Research Officer, Samanthi Bandara presented an abstract on “Service Quality of School Canteens: A Case Study from the Western Province, Sri Lanka”, at the Annual Research Forum of the Sri Lankan Agricultural Economic Association. This was based on the findings of a recent IPS Publication titled “An Assessment of the Implementation of Guidelines in School Canteens: A Case Study from the Western Province of Sri Lanka”. The event was held at the Appadurai Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya on 27th November 2015.
She also participated at the International Conference on Maternal and Child Nutrition organized by South Asia Infant Feeding Research Network (SAIFRAN) in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), held in Hotel Kingsbury, Colombo on 23rd & 24th November 2015. At the conference, she also made a poster presentation titled, “Guidelines sans implementation: Is it useful for changing food behaviour among school children?”.
