An Emerging “Process Innovation” in Agri-Food Industry in Sri Lanka and its Impact on Employment and Income Distribution

The objective of this study is to evaluate the impacts of a process (or a business) innovation of introducing small or medium scale processing and marketing enterprises in the spice sector of Sri Lanka on employment and income ( both factor and personal) distribution and social inclusiveness, in comparison to the traditional supply chain.
