Training Programme on International Trade Theory and Practice

IPS Research Assistant, Nuwanthi Senaratne, attended the training programme on International Trade Theory and Practice, organized by the EXIM Bank of India and the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), held in New Delhi, India, from 19 – 24 June 2017.

Other members of BIMSTEC countries from Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand also participated in the programme.

The Commerce Secretary of India, Rita Teaotia, inaugurated the course which covered trade theory as well as various issues relating to trade, including India’s trade relations and strategy. The participants also attended the seminar on the ASEAN – India partnership which was chaired by India’s Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj.
