Ayodya Galappattige is currently a Research Officer since joining the IPS in 2004. Her key research interests are in the areas of development policy studies, specifically in areas of poverty impact assessment, social security, microfinance, agriculture and environmental economics. She has contributed to a number of national level surveys and studies. She holds a BSc (Hons.) in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She has also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in ‘Universalizing Socio-Economic Security for the Poor’ from the Institute of Social Studies, Netherlands, and has part qualifications of CIMA-UK.
