Sri Lanka Economic
Association launched a biannual publication of the
Sri Lanka Economic Journal (New Series), subsequent
to the merger of the two Economic Associations and their respective
publications – Upanathi of the Sri Lanka Association
of Economists (SLAE) and the Sri Lanka Economic Journal of
the former Sri Lanka Economic Association.
The Sri Lanka Economic Journal ( New Series) commenced
publication in June 2000 and under this series Vol. 1, Vol.
2, and Vol. 3 have been published totalling six issues to
date.
The IPS provided editorial support for the Journal, while
research staff also contributed widely in the form of articles
and book reviews. The Publications Unit of the Institute
provided technical support in the formatting of the journal.
The focus of this journal is on economic issues in the
developing world with emphasis on analyses on Sri Lanka.
The journal also bridges the gap as an analytical reference
guide to current research on the Sri Lankan economy.
