report contains the estimates, adopting international standards,
of Domestic Health Expenditures of Hong Kong SAR for the
period 1989/90 to 1996/97. Estimates of the flow of funds
in the health system in 1996/97 are also presented.
The report has the following objectives: (i) to present
time series of health expenditures for the years 1989/90
– 1996/97; (ii) to provide an overview of health expenditures
for the period; (iii) to present estimates of the DHA of
Hong Kong for the fiscal year 1996/97; (iv) to describe
briefly the methodology for compiling Hong Kong DHA.
