Provision of Education for Intellectually Disabled Children in Sri Lanka

Study was commissioned by UNICEF to assess existing barriers and opportunities in the provision of education for children with learning disabilities. The study evaluates how well the present interventions are working, and how successful they are in either integrating children to mainstream schools, or in providing alternative special education. The study provides recommendations for developing and changing approaches to improve special education provisions within the national education system and supporting children who have barriers to access education.
