The Labour Situation on Sri Lankan Tea Estates - A view to 2005

This study examines the current and medium term labour situation in the Sri Lankan tea estates. It explores the factors that influence labour demand and labour productivity on the newly privatized tea estates on the one hand, and labour supply on the other; it also estimates the likely labour situation in 2005 by main agro-ecological region.
