Informal Labour Sector in Sri Lanka

This study will focus upon the informal sector of Sri Lanka. With a large proportion of the labour force engaged in informal economic activities, this paper will attempt to define the informal sector and understand their contribution to the development of the country. Emphasis will be placed on the issue of globalization as a possible cause for increased informal activities.
