Job Review

The programme is intended to build national research capacity to undertake socio-economic policy research in Sri Lanka. IPS hopes to achieve this by helping to develop research skills of undergraduates.

This is an unpaid position. Interns are expected to finance their own travel and accommodation related costs.

Eligibility

Interested applicants must be a recent graduate or registered for an undergraduate degree in economics or related discipline at a recognised university in Sri Lanka or overseas. Undergraduate or recent graduate interns are expected to stay six weeks to three months at IPS.

During their stay, access to all IPS facilities, including working space and library resources will be made available. They will also have the opportunity to attend seminars and conferences organised by the IPS and network with the Institute’s researchers. Interns will gain research skills through involvement in on-going IPS research activities and engagement with an assigned supervisor.
