Suresh Ranasinghe is a Research Officer working on health, education, and labour policy research at IPS. He holds an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, a BA in Economics from the University of Colombo, and an LLB from the Open University of Sri Lanka. He is also an Attorney-At-Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. Suresh is a Commonwealth Scholar who received the coveted Commonwealth Shared Scholarship offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK, in 2022/23 to pursue his postgraduate studies. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded the ‘Best Student Prize’ in the Banking and Finance stream at the University of Colombo.
