Linkages between Trade, Development and Poverty Reduction |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Trade policy has the potential to affect poverty through its effects on economic growth and income distribution. This project aims to examine the various dimensions to the linkages between trade, development and poverty reduction supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of The Netherlands and the Department of International Development (DFID), UK. To facilitate cross-fertilization of experiences and lessons learnt, the project will be implemented in 15 countries across Asia and Africa. Research output will include preparation of a country background paper examining trade, development and poverty linkages and stakeholder perception survey of the issues addressed. |
