Feasibility Study on India-Sri Lanka Power Grid Interconnection

Governments of India and Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2010 to conduct a feasibility study for the interconnection of the power grids of the two countries. The feasibility study is jointly conducted by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). The IPS along with Resource Management Associates and Tiruchelvam Associates, undertook the Complementary Studies for the Ministry of Power and Energy (MoPE)/CEB, as part of the feasibility study under the MOU commitments.
