Anushka Wijesinha, Research Officer, IPS, participated in the ‘Advanced Briefing Programme on Critical Strategic and Economic Themes for the Future’, organized by the Indian Council on Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), held in New Delhi, India, during from 8-20th November 2010.

Discussions centred around the changing dynamics of global economic governance, the shifting balance of political-economic power, strategies for South Asian integration, and the prospects and challenges in the rise of China and India. Speakers included Lord Meghnad Desai (LSE, UK), Dr. Rajiv Kumar (FICCI, India), Dr. Rajat Nag (ADB, Phillipines), Prof Simon Evenett (University of St. Gallen, Switzerland), and Dr. Ashley Tellis (Carnegie Endowment for Peace, USA).

Other participants were mainly from research institutes and government agencies in the South Asian region.
